The stream then forms a couple of small pools in some attractive property between Crawford St. and Fisher St. and travels along behind Crawford St., passing under West St. and then Cherry St., where the staff gage for the StreamWatch program is located.

The area surrounding Cold Harbor Brook
along Crawford St. from Church St. south to West Main St. is owned by the Department of Environmental Management and is maintained as a flood plain, although hayfields are still mowed in the northern part of the area.

Downstream of Cherry St., the brook was dammed by beavers, creating a swampy area.
