River Day with Niki Tsongas
On October 4th Congresswoman Niki Tsongas highlighted the historical importance of rivers the the 5th Congressional District. On a sunny autumn morning, OAR Executive Director Amanda Davis and OAR President Dave Griffin escorted the congresswoman down the Concord River from Egg Rock to the Old North Bridge, accompanied by State Representative Cory Atkins, State Representative Susan Fargo, and members of the River Stewardship Council. River Day then moved to Hudson where local officials chatted with congresswoman as they walked from Wood Park over the Assabet River and to the Hudson Portuguese Club where she addressed the group. Representative Pat Walrath recalled early work on the River Protection Act and the founding of OAR in 1986.

Another Successful Cleanup
