River Cleanup

A Successful 23rd Annual Cleanup

Thanks to over 100 volunteers who pitched in on Saturday, September 12, the Assabet is cleaner in seven towns: Concord, Acton, Maynard, Stow, Hudson, Marlborough, and Northborough.

River lovers throughout the wateshed braved dreary weather to walk the banks and wade into the river to pull out tires, bicycles, car parts, a wheel chair, and more.

As always, the cleanup ended with a well-earned pizza lunch, thanks to the generosity of pizza parlors throughout the watershed.

A big thank you to all who donated time to help cleanup the river - we hope to see you again next year!
