Join us for our 24th Annual River Cleanup on Saturday\, September 11 from 9 a.m. to noon. A morning of satisfying work will be followed by a pizza celebration along the river.
Cleanup sites will be on the Assabet River (including tributaries and ponds) in Westborough\, Northborough\, Marlborough\, Hudson\, Stow\, Maynard\, Acton\, and Concord and on the Concord River in Billerica.

Modern era records identify Hurricane Diane in August 1955 as responsible for record high water\, but four floods since then have occurred in spite of construction of flood control dams.
David Mark (OAR member and author of newspaper column \\"Maynard Life Outdoors\\") will talk about historic floods on the Assabet and the impact of flood management.
