Corporate support is crucial to protect, preserve and enhance the Assabet River and its watershed. Our Corporate Sponsor Program provides businesses and corporations with an opportunity to take a leading role in preserving their community's environmental well-being.

Where does your Corporate Philanthropy Program fit into our mission?

• River Cleanup
  Throughout the year OAR works to restore the river's water quality and ecological health. In addition, each September hundreds of volunteers spend one Saturday removing tons of trash - tires, bicycles, bottles, batteries, and cans - from the river. The 23nd Annual Assabet River Cleanup will take place on Saturday, September 12th, 2009.
• Education
  OAR's popular Water Wise Workshops helps foster the next generation of young scientists and river stewards by offering hands-on learning experiences for kids and meaningful teaching opportunities to older student over the summer. In 2009, OAR will offer these fun and thought-provoking workshops to stream-side and pond-side locations in Westborough, Marlborough, and Stow. (Read more and see the video.)
• Science
  OAR's well-respected volunteer water quality monitoring program has been providing reliable scientific information about the Assabet River since 1992. This work is critical to our ability to understand the condition of the rivers and offers a unique educational opportunity for citizens to learn and participate in environmental science.
